HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module

The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module measures distance by emitting a burst of 40kHz ultrasonic pulses and timing the echo that bounces back from nearby objects. Its twin-transducer design separates the transmitter and receiver, giving accurate, non-contact distance readings from 2cm out to 4 meters.

Key features:

• Non-Contact Ranging: Measures distance from 2cm to 400cm using ultrasonic time-of-flight, with roughly 3mm accuracy.
• Simple Trigger/Echo Interface: A 10-microsecond trigger pulse starts a measurement, and the echo pin returns a pulse proportional to distance.
• Wide Measuring Angle: Effective detection angle of about 15 degrees in front of the sensor.
• 5V Logic Compatible: Works directly with 5V microcontrollers such as Arduino without level shifting.
• Low Current Draw: Draws around 15mA during operation, well suited to battery-powered projects.
