The L293D Motor Driver Shield for Arduino (4-Channel H-Bridge, PWM Support) is a stackable expansion board built around two L293D quadruple half-H bridge driver ICs, giving an Arduino direct control over multiple motors without extra wiring. It plugs straight onto an Arduino Uno or Mega to add motor-driving capability to any project.

Key features:

  • Dual L293D Drivers: Two L293D ICs provide four independent half-H bridge channels for flexible motor control.
  • Multi-Motor Support: Drives up to 4 DC motors, 2 stepper motors, or 2 servo motors from a single shield.
  • PWM Speed Control: Motor speed is controlled through PWM-capable Arduino pins for smooth acceleration and braking.
  • Screw Terminal Connections: Motor and external power wires connect through secure screw terminals instead of loose headers.
  • Onboard Reset Button: Resets the Arduino without needing to remove the shield.
  • Servo Headers: Two dedicated 3-pin headers drive hobby servos directly from the shield.

The shield stacks directly onto an Arduino Uno-footprint board, so existing sketches and wiring for L293D-based motor shields work with little to no modification.
