The IR Flame Detection Sensor Module is a compact infrared-based sensor built around the LM393 voltage comparator, designed to detect open flame and other infrared light sources between 760nm and 1100nm. It gives early warning of fire hazards in robotics, home safety and industrial monitoring projects.

Key features:

  • Infrared Flame Detection: Detects open flame or infrared radiation from up to about 100cm away, with sensitivity that decreases as the flame size shrinks.
  • Dual Signal Output: Delivers a digital output (DO) for simple flame/no-flame alerts and an analog output (AO) for measuring flame intensity.
  • LM393 Comparator: Converts the sensor’s IR signal into a clean, stable digital signal with a fast response time.
  • Adjustable Sensitivity: An onboard potentiometer lets you tune the detection threshold for the surrounding light conditions.
  • Wide Detection Angle: Senses flame sources within roughly a 60° cone in front of the sensor head.
  • Status Indicators: Onboard power and digital-output LEDs make wiring and testing quick and simple.
